ok guys thanks for all your help and i am pleased to announce that i have found the one i was searching for.7/17/76 is the EOTW i had in mind shortly after the 8min mark the piano seems to me to to carry the song in a melody i haven't heard any other versions go. I am very new at this so it may just be something that struck me and is entirely normal for the period. Anyways you all have helped me enjoy my sunday afternoon with some really cool versions of the song, and i appreciate it

Awesome show Josh. Probably my favorite of the year. Good renditions of Sugaree and Comes A Time to go along with the Eyes. A sneaky US Blues as well.

Sty, yep, I was referring ot the 9/11/74 show. Underrated to say the least.

That 7/17/76 set isn't really normal for the period; even if you listened to every show from the year, it would still stand out (though there are other shows where they also stick in unusual jams between the songs).

If I may recommend one more Eyes....this is a Stephen>Eyes that's one of the highlights of '76, and will take you on a nice half-hour trip:

Fantastic version of eyes, and the comes a time is the best ever. Unbelievable, unparalleled jam after the verses.

I saw this but didn't look for awhile. That show, 7/17 is one of my favorites because of the Eyes and the Comes a Time. There are a few fake-outs, meaning it sounds like they are going into one song but do another and it really keeps us on our toes. Check out the PEGGY-O, BIG RIVER and SUGAREE from the first set as well. This show is dripping with "IT".

Very very nice version, what a treat! Sounding like an Indian raga at times!
